HOW TO NOTIFY TEAM IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND A SWIM MEET!

This year we are implementing a new way to notify our Team Meet Entry person if your swimmer cannot attend a swim meet. In the past, we have had swimmers notify us by email if they were unable to attend a meet. This year you will be required to RSVP through the Sharks website instead. As always, you must notify the team the TUESDAY BEFORE THE SATURDAY MEET YOUR SWIMMER(S) WILL MISS! (RSVP's are not required at this time, if your swimmer is attending, however, it is helpful if we have to redo a relay and know a swimmer will be there).
Example of deadline to notify us if a swimmer is NOT Swimming at Saturday meet: For the practice meet this Sat. 5/11, you must notify the team by Tues 5/7 that your swimmer will NOT SWIM at the Sat. meet.
How to notify the team you will Not be at a meet: Go to www.cwsharks.com and on meets/events, choose the meet your swimmer(s) will not be attending and click the "RSVP" icon. You will be prompted to enter a password, which is our Team Password.. You then select which meet you need to RSVP your swimmer(s) as not swimming. Once you are at the RSVP Page for that specific meet, you need to enter your email address and select not attending and choose which swimmer and/or swimmers are not attending (some parents have more than one swimmer and if all their swimmers will not be there, then each swimmer will need to be selected as not swimming.
It is extremely important that we are notified as soon as possible if you know your swimmer cannot attend a meet. On Tuesdays, our coaches enter each swimmer into their individual events as well as relays and our meet entries must be exchanged with other team before Thursday in order to schedule the swim meet for Saturdays. We understand last minute emergencies or illness the night before that cannot be avoided.  If this happens, try to contact a friend that you know is attending meet, so they can let the team parent, coach or computer entry person know the morning of the event.
Our meet policy still applies regarding no shows on the day of a meet: If a swimmer does not RSVP and inform us they will not be attending the meet and was seeded in a relay, they will not be eligible to swim a relay the following meet, regardless of their times. This policy is implemented to support the team and your fellow team mates that sometimes do not get to swim their relay due to another swimmer not showing up. We want these meets to be a positive experience and supporting the team is important.

We look forward to a great season! We need everyone's support in notifying the team and coaches if they cannot attend a meet to help the meet run smoothly and efficient and we also need volunteers in many areas to make a meet run quick and safe.  We know that with the support of parents and volunteers, we can achieve a successful and fun meet for everyone!   Go Sharks!
