Good afternoon Shark families -

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday despite the weather.  As the new summer swim season approaches, it has been the mission of your board to enhance every family's summer swim experience by seeking out every "best practice" available.  Our current webmaster, Swim US, has partnered with Meet Central which is an ios app based program that effectively shortens the length of time a summer swim meet demands by reducing volunteer hours and personnel, paper work and human error. Meet Central was created last year by Charlie Houchin, a 2012 Summer Olympic Gold medalist swimmer.  At our Feb. board meeting we were able to have a brief demonstration on the benefits and functionality of this new software.

Charlie has agreed to conduct a live demonstration using live swimmers and timers in order for us to get a better understanding of how this new software will benefit and enable us to run more efficient and error free swim meets.  All past, current and prospective timer and scribe volunteers, including their children if available, are invited to this demonstration that will be held on TUESDAY, MARCH 10TH AT FINS AQUATIC CENTER FROM 11AM-2PM.  FINS is located at 7827 Spring Cypress Rd.  Charlie will be bringing his gold medal and will sign autographs and take pictures.
