Etiquette
Hello Sharks!
We have a few etiquette and house keeping messages to get out there today. First off, please know that we are all looking out for the swimmers and to have swim team be a wonderful experience for all. The pool area and pavillion are not places for kids to play. Please remind your kids not to run, play ball, or throw stuff in the pavilion. For liability issues, the baby pool is ALWAYS, 100% OFF LIMITS when the pool isn't open for free swim. Also, the stairs in the pool are not a place for kids to sit and wait for their practice. There isn't adequate supervision to make sure everyone is safe, and coaches are paying attention to the swimmers they are coaching, not ones "hanging out".
We have also had NUMEROUS broken chairs each night. These are property of the clubhouse and need to be taken care of. The last thing we want is for them to not allow us to use the chairs for our events.
Please remember that we are a nonprofit organization and everyone that helps are volunteers. Only the 3 coaches actually get paid for their time, and they are really doing it not for the money, but their love of swim. From board, to head computer, our concession and head timer duo, they all do extra work outside of meets and behind the scenes. Please be patient and kind when things don't go 100% perfect.
Our next home meet is this weekend (still need volunteers) and a wonderful Family Fun night is scheduled for tomorrow (water games, Pizza Zone, dessert courtesy of age group 11/12). Looking forwarded to seeing everyone there!
Last, but not least, Sizzler entries are due by this Saturday at 8pm.
Any questions, please reach out to any Board Memeber.
